Local fire authorities and the Texas A&M Forest Service responded to multiple fires in Harrison County on Tuesday.
Texas A&M Forest Service responded to a grass fire near the state line that eventually burned 44 acres before being contained.
Another fire near Hallsville burned 17 acres before being contained. According to the City of Hallsville, Texas A&M Forest Service cut a fire line, and is on the scene watching for hot spots.
On Tuesday, the Texas A&M Forest Service also responded to two fires in Marion County and two in Gregg County. They responded to one fire each in Marion, Panola and Upshur Counties. All of the fires are 100% contained.
