Jefferson was pummeled by a fast moving thunderstorm Wednesday night, causing a widespread power outage and tree damage throughout the city. The Jefferson Lions Club is cancelling their noon meeting today in order to serve others. The Lions Disaster Recovery Team will arrive in Jefferson at noon to assist in tree limb removal.
“Please meet us at noon in the parking lot across from Bulldog Pizza. Bring some gloves and water,” said a post on the club’s Facebook page.
