The Jefferson Lions Club recently attended the Lions District 2-x2 Cabinet meeting in Henderson.
During the meeting, the Jefferson Lions Club received 3rd place in Lions District 2-x2 Positive Membership Growth.
The Two Texas Lions Camp Directors, Lois Triebenbach and Peg Brown-Walker, gave a report on Texas Lions Camp.
“We would love to speak to any club, meeting, or organization about Texas Lions Camp. No family ever pays for their child to attend Texas Lions Camp. It is paid for by Texas Lions and generous donors,” said Brown-Walker.
The Lions Camp’s Mission is to provide children from the State of Texas, without charge, a camp for children with physical disabilities, diabetes and cancer, regardless of race, religion or national origin. The Lions Camp’s Goal is to provide an atmosphere, wherein children who have physical disabilities will be allowed to achieve maximum personal growth and self-esteem.
The Jefferson Lions Club will meet Thursday July 21, 2022 at Noon at Bulldog Pizza. Their guest speaker will be Laura Merrill with AGLOW.
