[MARSHALL, TEXAS] On July 17, 2022, at 1:20 a.m., Marshall Police officers were dispatched to
the 2000 block of Bledsoe St. in reference to gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, officers found that shots were fired at people who had gathered at a house for a party, and that one person had been shot and taken to the local hospital by private vehicle.
Marshall Police officers, detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the area and located numerous shell casings and processed the scene. Several vehicles and a vacant house in the area were struck by projectiles. The gunshot victim questioned at Christus Medical Center Emergency Department said he was walking to his car when he was shot. None of the subjects could identify who had been shooting.
Around 4:30 a.m., officers were again called to Bledsoe St. in reference to a car accident. They found
no one inside the vehicle. Officers located the driver, who had been on Bledsoe St. to check on his
mother’s house after the previous incident that night. Unknown subjects began shooting at him and he fled.
The investigation by Marshall Police detectives and Task Force detectives is ongoing. Thus far, the
investigation has resulted in the arrest of one adult male and two juveniles.
